13 Negba Street is a residential project in the historical Katamon district of Jerusalem built for a private owner. It is partly a preservation project and partly a substantial expansion of an existing structure. The main architectural challenge in this project was to combine a relatively light modern addition onto a typical old and heavy stone structure. While the old structure was meticulously preserved, the new addition was designed in a contemporary manner while still observing the rules of the Jerusalem building code concerning usage of local stone and modest massing
